Periodic Exams & Cleanings
Periodic exams and cleanings are recommended every 6 months for both children and adults. A highly trained hygienist will scale your teeth around the gumline to remove any plaque. Sometimes the plaque can be a tough to get off and we have the latest model of the Cavitron unit in our office to help your hygienist get the job done!
Scaling & Root Planing
Sometimes we still get some hard to remove plaque and a deeper cleaning might be necessary. Your dentist and hygienist may propose that you need a scaling and root planing. Find out more here: https://www.mouthhealthy.org/en/az-topics/s/scaling-and-root-planing

Bridges
Bridges are also called a fixed partial denture. A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth and can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials and are attached to surrounding teeth for support. Unlike a removable bridge or partial, which you can take out and clean, a fixed bridge can only be removed by a dentist.

Extractions are sometimes necessary to get you out of pain quickly, especially if trauma or infection are involved. Follow the advice here for a smooth recovery: https://www.mouthhealthy.org/en/az-topics/e/extractions
Nitrous Oxide
Sometimes referred to as laughing gas, is a safe and effective means to make you more relaxed during your dental treatment. The gas is administered in a mask over your nose. You will still be able to hear and respond to requests your hygienist or doctor may make during treatment.
Oral Sedation
If you are fearful or anxious at the dental office or if you have several treatment plans that need to be completed, oral sedation might be a great option for you! Dr. Walden has completed additional continuing education to be able to offer this service to our patients and they love having this option.
